Lydia is 1!!!

Lydia turned 1 on the 17th and we had a fun party for her last night. She really enjoyed it and loved walking around in her hat. She had fun with the cake and big brother enjoyed it to. Thanks to those who sent messages, cards, and presents- she loved them!!!

Trip to our Nations Capital

What a great day on Thursday- spending time in DC- meeting people and exploring. Jacob really liked the restaurant we ate at and they both did really well despite really not getting any naps. We are so thankful. We had some great opportunities for sharing.

Last Shot Day!

Jacob had has last shot day on Tuesday (3rd one)- woo hoo. It was a little traumatic- since he knew what was coming, but he was rewarded with a yummy ice cream sandwich, a quick fishing trip, then a walk to the stream and to see the cows. It was a fun day with beautiful weather. :)

Time in the morning

This is the beautiful view that God has given us in the morning. I spend my quiet time outside as the sun rises over the lake and the geese fly overhead. God's presence is so evident in His creation.

Fishing

Jacob and Daddy have gone fishing about 5 times now catching a couple of bream each time. Jacob really enjoys reeling them in, but sometimes he gets "a little bit scared" when they pull hard. He's a great fisherman. :)

Jacob on the Playground

Jacob loves the playground and is quite an acrobat- jumping off of things and climbing up things constantly. It's pretty fun to watch. :)

Please Pray for Liz right now- she's been struck by the stomach bug that's been going around- I had it, Lydia did, now Liz does. Pray that Liz gets better today and Jacob doesn't get it.

Lydia at Worship

Every Sunday night we have cultural worship- here's a pic from Lydia at the Hispanic service. Jacob went up and played the piano during this service. (he wasn't supposed to). It was fun seeing them enjoy the music.

Lydia in the Bye Bye Buggy

Lydia really does love traveling around in the bye-bye buggy and cruising with her friends. She is walking really great now and trying to learn new words daily. Currently she says: mama, dada, jaja (jacob), uh-oh, and yum yum. pretty fun stuff! :) She also had 2 nights of sleeping all the way through the night!!! but then last night she woke up at 4:30am and it was tough to get her back to sleep. :( Please pray that she'll get back to being a better sleeper. :)
