Little Mommy

Lydia is already preparing for Julia's arrival. She enjoys playing with her baby dolls. She likes to feed them and put them down for naps. I am sure that she will want to help when Julia comes.

Mother's Day

Jason and the kids planned a wonderful Mother's day for me. It started with some beautiful flowers and a card that the kids made. I then went and got a massage (it's really nice when you can walk down the street and get a massage for $1.50) We then walked to our favorite restaurant for a western style brunch (I even got a cup of decaf coffee - what a treat!). When we got home I got to take a nice long nap - I couldn't ask for a better day!

My first cooking experience here

You can ask Liz- cooking here can be a little bit of an adventure- tough to find the ingredients you want, "toaster ovens" for ovens, short countertops and very limited space. I found this cool bread made by people in the NW of our country and it looks a lot like a pizza crust. So I put some tomato sauce, fresh tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, some pepperoni that friends had sent us, and some cheese (hard to find and a little expensive) on it and popped it in the oven. Wow- it was really good stuff! If you come and visit us, I can make you one. :)

Good Friends

Here is a picture of Jacob with one of his friends. We have been blessed with other families in our city with kids Jacob's age that he enjoys playing with and that we have gotten to know as well.
