Riding the Skytrain

Another fun mode of transportation here in Bangkok that Jacob loves is the Skytrain! I think the name makes it even cooler for him. It's like a subway in the air- it is pretty cool public transportation, especially with the tough traffic jams.

Pool and playground

We are very thankful to have a pool and playground for the kids here- they are really enjoying it. Now if we can just keep up with their energy level and "independence".

Yummy treats

Here in Thailand, we are thankful for things we can't get where we live like yummy milk and cereal, mango/sticky rice, and jacob and lydia's new favorite fruit- rambutan (see pic above). The outside is covered in prickly looking but soft "hair" and then you pop the outside off to reveal the while grape-like fruit inside- pretty awesome stuff.

Tuk-tuks

Here in Thailand, we get to ride a new mode of transportation some, and the kids love it- especially Jacob. These are called tuk-tuks and are motorized big golf carts that get us around short distances. Fun stuff.

Pandamonium!

We recently had a chance to make it out to the panda base near our home where over 90 pandas hang out. It was awesome to see the cuddly guys in action. They really mainly just eat and sleep, but we were able to see some 8 month olds playing- a few of them would climb up the ladder and then fall down- pretty cute. One of them got stuck on a rung and did a couple of flips around.
