More Dress-up

Jacob can't decide which superhero he wants to be. In this picture he has on a superman shirt, a batman cape and an ultraman mask. Lydia wants to be grown up, here she is with her sunglasses on sending a text message with her cell phone. She also wants to be a princess as you can see from the last picture.

Out with Friends

We had the fun opportunity of going with some of our local friends (their daughter is in Jacob's class at school) to an ancient town near our city. We walked around the old streets with shops, hung out in a tea house, and ate some good local food. Jacob and Jason also got to ride bumper cars and play a "carnival" game of shooting balloons.

Ultraman

In the last week Jacob has started to sleep much better (since we got back from Thailand) at night and is now staying in his own room all night. As a reward for sleeping in his room he got an "ultraman" mask. It is a superhero that is popular here, it originates in Japan. The kids really enjoy wearing it and "scaring" us.

Easter Celebration

We had a good time celebrating Easter as a family. We got to sing and read the story together and then the kids enjoyed hunting for eggs and getting treats in their Easter baskets. We were also able to celebrate with some of our friends.

Spring Outing

One day this week we had a holiday so both Jacob and Jason were off from their classes so we decided to go to a near by park. We enjoyed walking around and getting to see some of the beautiful signs of spring. It was nice to get a little bit away from all the traffic and business where things are a little quieter. The park we were at also has some historical sights, there is a picture of the kids standing in some sort of gateway (we are not sure exactly the significance but thought it would make a good picture).

Fun in the Sun

This has become our new favorite afternoon spot. The sun comes in our window in the living room and we push the couch up against the window so that we can enjoy the sunshine. We don't get a lot of sun here so when we do we try to take advantage of it. As you can see the kids are not used to the sun and have to wear their shades.

Dress up

We were getting out our spring/summer clothes and the kids found these "dress up" clothes. They had a blast. As you can tell they also like to dress up in just about anything.
