Fun with Mimi and Papa

Fun at the Beach

Family Vacation

We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Thailand. We had a wonderful time in the warm sunshine and playing at the beach and in the pool. Both Jacob and Lydia did wonderful getting used to the water and by the end of our time there Lydia was jumping off the edge by herself and swimming around in water wings and Jacob was jumping off the edge by himself and swimming halfway across the pool with no floaties at all! Liz's parents were also able to join us there which was absolutely wonderful, the kids had so much fun with their Mimi and Papa!

Jacob is growing up

It is hard to believe that our little Jacob is almost 4 years old! It is really fun to see him growing up. He is becoming very helpful around the house and with his sisters. Whenever Julia cries he is usually the first one to see what is wrong and try to cheer her up. He was also a big help with Lydia at her first day of school. He was so proud to take her to her class and help her know where to go and what to do. Also, one day recently when we got back from our trip I was putting Lydia in bed and when I went back out to the living room Jacob had straitened up all the cushions on the couch (I had just vacuumed the couch) and picked up his toys and was starting to straiten our shoes by the door - all without being asked! And today Julia had made a big mess of cheerios under her highchair and after dinner Jacob asked "is it okay if I clean up Julia's mess with the broom?". I must say that I think 4 is going to be a great age!

Oh Lydia

You never know what you will find Lydia doing. Sometimes it is stacking a stool on top of a bookshelf to help "fix" Jacob's top bunk, or feeding her ball in her highchair, or helping to give her sister some water, or being pulled up on stage at a show, or dressing up like a princess. There is never a dull moment!

Julia's New Tricks

Julia continues to grow so quickly. In the last couple months she has started to sit unsupported and likes to roll around on the floor to get where she wants to go (luckily she has not started crawling yet). She is also starting to "talk" some. She likes to say da-da, ma-ma, na-na, and ge-ge (which means big brother). She also has quite a personality and likes to make some funny faces!

Christmas Time

Here are some very late pictures from Christmas time. We were so blessed to have my parents and brother James come and celebrate with us!
