Jason got invited with a group of people here to go and see the peach blossoms (a very popular thing to do this time of year) and he decided to take Lydia with him since Jacob got to go with him on their last adventure. Jason asked Lydia if they enjoyed their adventure and she said "it wasn't an adventure it was a date". So I guess Jacob goes on "adventures" and Lydia goes on "dates" - parents are always learning :). Lydia makes friends wherever she goes (lucky for us :)) Jason gets his ears cleaned local style...
This February we got to escape the cold winter to warm sunny Thailand and Jason's parents were able to meet us there - talk about a wonderful vacation!! The kids loved the beach and the swimming pool, they would have swimmed all day if we let them. We of course loved the sunshine and the water too! We also enjoyed not having to wear socks, jackets, or 3 layers of clothes! We had such a great time with Jason's parents and the kids really enjoyed playing with them. The kids are excited about the warm weather! Fun at the pool! Pops, Daddy, Mommy, and Lydia went on a hike to a cave We got to celebrate Jacob's birthday with Nana and Pops Fun at the beach!
Ok, yes I am almost 6 months behind on posting - sorry. I don't really have any excuses except that I have gotten lazy so I am going to try to do a quick catch up...October 2010 Mimi and Papa (Liz's parents) came to visit us - what a treat! We had such a great time with them here, they brought some fun dress up clothes for the kids, we went to the opera, they watched the kids for 3 days so Jason and I could go the beach for a getaway (now that was a treat!) and they got to go with Jacob and Lydia on their school field trip to the new aquarium here in town.
While Liz's sister's family was here we got to celebrate Lydia's third birthday. It was a great time together as a family and Lydia still brags that Connor and Katie got to come to her birthday party. Lydia is really into princesses and Meg helped me make Lydia a special princess birthday cake - such fun!
We were so blessed to have Liz's sister and her family come and visit us in September. Their oldest Connor is Lydia's age and their second child, Katie, is Julia's age. The kids had so much fun playing together and it was the first time we got to meet Katie. Meg was also pregnant at that time expecting their third. What fun times together!!
I recently was able to found "Mountain Dew" here- actually it's a little different and the translated name is "Turbulent Wave"- however it's only on the east coast so I've been ordering it online and having it shipped here. Pretty cool stuff- the bottle rocks.
Also- Lay's has a new flavor of potato chip- "Lemon Iced Tea"- it's really pretty good and it might knock off my previous favorite flavor- Blueberry.
